Variations

* Sweet BBQ: Add brown sugar to the marinade

* Smoky: Use smoked paprika in your spice blend

* Herb-Enhanced: Add fresh minced rosemary and thyme

Chef Tips

* Perfect for low-and-slow cooking methods

* The vinegar spray technique helps create a flavorful bark on the meat

* Use a spray bottle for even application during cooking

* For best results, marinate ribs for at least 4 hours

General Marinating Guidelines:

* Always marinate in the refrigerator, never at room temperature

* Use glass, ceramic, or food-grade plastic containers - avoid metal

* Turn meat occasionally to ensure even distribution

* The thicker the cut, the longer it needs to marinate

* Reserve a portion of marinade before adding to raw meat if you want to use it as a sauce later
