Orange Crush Ceviche with Avocado 🍊
About the Recipe

A fresh citrus-forward ceviche featuring shrimp, avocado, cucumber, jalapeño, and cilantro marinated in lime juice, orange juice, and Orange Crush live vinegar for a bright, complex twist on a coastal classic.

Ingredients

Citrus Marinade

  • ½ cup fresh lime juice

  • ¼ cup fresh orange juice

  • 3 tablespoons Orange Crush Live Vinegar

  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1 teaspoon honey optional

  • 1 teaspoon drizzled


Fresh Mix-Ins

  • 1 avocado, diced

  • ½ cucumber, small diced

  • ¼ cup red onion, thin sliced or diced

  • 1 jalapeño or serrano, finely diced

  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Preparation

1. Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine:

  • lime juice

  • orange juice

  • Orange Crush vinegar

  • Honey

  • Salt

Mix well.


2. Marinate the Seafood

Add shrimp or fish to the citrus mixture.

  • Fish: marinate 15-25 minutes

  • Shrimp: toss and chill 15 mins before serving

The seafood should become opaque and lightly firm.


3. Add Fresh Ingredients

Fold in:

  • cucumber

  • onion

  • jalapeño

  • cilantro

Gently fold in avocado last to keep it intact. Allow to meld for 5-15 mins.


4. Taste & Finish

Adjust salt or lime juice if needed.



Serving Suggestions

Serve cold with:

  • tortilla chips

  • plantain chips

  • Cassava chips

  • toasted baguette slices

Excellent paired with sparkling water, citrus cocktails, or a vinegar spritzer.



Notes

  • Fresh lime juice is critical for brightness.

  • Avocado should be added at the end to prevent mushiness.

  • An extra splash of Orange Crush vinegar at the end creates a deeper citrus finish and helps balance the sweetness of the orange juice.
